Genshin Impact’s Version 2.6 Special Program premiered on March 18, 2022. With guest stars from the English voices of Genshin Impact’s male traveler, Aether, Kamisato Ayaka, and Kamisato Ayato, a myriad of events have been confirmed for the next version update alongside new areas to explore. Version 2.6 is scheduled to go live on March 30, 2022.
As the Yashiro Commissioner, head of the Kamisato Clan, and brother of Kamisato Ayaka, 5-star Hydro Sword-user Kamisato Ayato will be leading the first half of the Genshin Impact 2.6 Banners. Alongside Ayato, 5-star Anemo Bow-user Venti will also be running. In the second half of Version 2.6, 5-star Cryo-user Kamisato Ayaka will return for her first solo rerun Banner.
In addition to the new playable character, Genshin Impact’s Chasm region will be released for players to explore. Players will need to navigate the Chasm’s environmental hazards, new enemies, and mechanisms. Additionally, Dainsleif returns to help the Traveler investigate the Abyss Order’s interference with the Chasm in the new Archon Quest. Aside from the new region, players will also have a multitude of events to enjoy in between exploration.
Genshin Impact: Hues of the Violet Garden Main Event
Many familiar characters will be rejoining the traveler in Inazuma as the region is in preparation for the Magnificent Irodori Festival. Players who complete the “Hues of the Violent Garden” event questline will be able to earn various rewards such as Primogems, Character EXP Materials, Talent Level-Up Materials, Mystic Enhancement Ore, Mora, and a Crown of Insight. After meeting the Invitation Criteria, players will also be able to invite 4-star Hydro-user Xingqiu, similar to how players were previously able to invite a 4-star Liyue character during Genshin Impact’s Lantern Rite festival.
Genshin Impact Irodori Festival: The Moon and Stars Event
With the help of a bard from Mondstadt – who may or may not be the Anemo archon, Venti – players will be able to take photos of Inazuma’s unique environment in order to provide inspiration for their companion. Players will be given hints that they can use to determine what pictures they must take in order to fulfill the commissioner’s request. With each quality photo, the commissioners will be able to compose a variety of poetry lines, which the Traveler can use to complete the final composition.
Theater Mechanicus Event Makes Its Third Return In Genshin Impact 2.6
First premiering in version 1.3 for the first Lantern Rite festival and version 2.0 with the Inazuma region in Genshin Impact, Theater Mechanicus makes its return in Genshin Impact 2.6. The NPC Komakata, eager to host the game during the popular Irodori Festival, has made some improvements in hopes to capture more players. Each stage of Theater Mechanicus will now have its own special feature that travelers will need to utilize or strategically overcome. Players will also be able to equip Wondrous Sticks, which hold different buffs that can be used to create a variety of combinations to aid them.
In addition to the new changes, Theater Mechanicus has been streamlined in order for better playability. Upon entering stages, some Mechanici have been placed for the players to either utilize, modify, or dismantle to increase chances of success. Given that players were able to complete this event in Co-Op mode previously, the same can be expected for Version 2.6.
Genshin Impact’s Clash of Lone Blades Event
“Clash of Lone Blades” is an event that focuses on one-on-one sword fighting duels. Players will be able to choose from three difficulties: Serious, Dire, and Perilous. Players will need to complete the Serious difficulty within certain parameters before beginning the next. Each day, a new duel against a swordmaster with unique abilities will unlock.
In the place of Elemental Skills and Elemental Bursts in Genshin Impact, players will be able to use a parry mechanic that allows the sole Traveler to deal massive amounts of damage via the sword alone, so long as the timing of the attack is correct. These perfect parries will be monumental in turning the tide in battle.
Genshin Impact: The Floral Courtyard Ikebana Event
Similar to the “Dreams of Bloom” event in Version 2.2, players will be able to create custom floral arrangements in the \”Floral Courtyard Ikebana\” event in Genshin Impact 2.6. Themes are given for each challenge, which the player must follow in order to create a specific floral courtyard. Each courtyard consists of different parts and materials that must be used correctly. After completing each courtyard, players will be able to place these floral arrangements into the Serenitea Pot as furnishings.
Cooking In Genshin Impact: Spices From The West Event
“Spices From the West” shares similar mechanics of 2.5’s “A Drink A-Dreaming” event. In this event, a visitor from Genshin Impact’s Sumeru has come to Liyue for research regarding spices. Players will be able to combine and experiment with different ingredients in order to create a variety of seasonings. Over the course of the event, new seasoning recipes will be made available for players to attempt. As there is little margin for error, players should be sure to follow the instructions closely in order to avoid wasting precious resources.
Genshin Impact: Vibro-Crystal Research Challenge Event
A researcher from Fontaine is studying the harmonic motion between Vibro-Crystals, which are gems found in the Chasm region. By connecting transmitter and receiver crystals, players will be able to utilize its effects to defeat opponents with ease. Each challenge is split into two segments and therefore requires two teams in order to complete, similar to the later floors of the Spiral Abyss in Genshin Impact. This event will also provide trial characters such as Raiden Shogun and Venti to aid players who may need it.
Outside the Canvas, Inside the Lens Photography Event in Genshin Impact
Commissioned by an Inazuman artist, players will be able to take photos of the scenery in different regions in order to provide inspiration for her illustrations during this Genshin Impact 2.6 event. Players will need to follow the artist’s requirements and guidelines and take specific photos in certain points, locations, and times. By completing these requests correctly, players will be able to earn various rewards as they travel through Teyvat in \”Outside the Canvas, Inside the Lens.\”
Genshin Impact’s Ley Line Overflow Will Help Build Characters
To aid players in building new characters in this version update, Genshin Impact brings back Ley Line Overflow. This allows players to exchange the normal amount of 20 resin for x2 Bonus rewards from Ley Line Blossoms and Domains. As Character Ascension Materials in Genshin Impact may be scarce as players approach higher Adventure Ranks, this allows players to earn their resources twice as quickly. If following its usual update schedule, Genshin Impact players can expect to see Version 2.6 live on March 30, 2022.
