Genshin Impact 2.5 Livestream Date & Start Times

The second half of Genshin Impact’s 2.4 update just went live, confirming the date for the 2.5 update’s release, as well as the prospective date for the 2.5 livestream. Based on the “Time Remaining” on their banners, Ganyu and Zhongli’s banners will end on February 16, 2022, at 4 am Beijing Time. Genshin Impact will then be offline for server maintenance, which lasts between four to six hours. Once the servers are back up around 8-10 am Beijing Time, players will be able to update their game to Version 2.5. Players usually receive Primogems as compensation for Genshin Impact’s downtime, at a rate of 60 Primogems for each hour servers are unavailable.

Genshin Impact fans have long-awaited the arrival of the new playable character, Yae Miko, Guuji of the Grand Narukami Shrine, who is expected to be added to Genshin Impact in the 2.5 update. Like the current 2.4 update, 2.5 will have two halves with different character Banners for each half. The second half of 2.5 is rumored to feature a double banner with reruns for Raiden Shogun and Sangonomiya Kokomi. While these leaks are yet to be confirmed, there’s a general consensus that Yae Miko will be playable from the start of the Genshin Impact 2.5 update.

Although Genshin Impact has yet to confirm the date for the 2.5 livestream, it usually takes place two weeks before the update is released. As Genshin Impact\’s 2.5 update is now confirmed to arrive on February 16, fans are speculating the Genshin Impact 2.5 livestream will be during the first week of February. If fans are unable to watch the stream live on Genshin Impact’s Twitch channel, there\’s no need to worry. Genshin Impact usually uploads the livestream video to YouTube shortly after it airs on Twitch.

What & When Is The Genshin Impact 2.5 Livestream?

Genshin Impact livestreams usually happen two weeks before a new update is released. During the livestream on Twitch, details about the new update are shared, including which Characters and Weapons will be featured on upcoming banners, and details of upcoming in-game Events. During the special program, Genshin Impact will give players promo codes to redeem for in-game content, such as Primogems, Mora, and Character Level-Up Materials. Players who don’t watch the stream live should still be able to redeem these codes, as miHoYo usually gives players some time until the codes expire.

While the exact date and time of the Genshin Impact 2.5 livestream have not yet been confirmed by miHoYo, it’s expected to take place in the first week of February, with most predictions putting it on either February 4, 2022, or February 6. In terms of start times, these livestreams usually take place in the early morning hours – typically around 7 or 8 am ET. Genshin Impact fans that are excited to see Yae Miko, check out the new Events, or simply excited to grab some free Primogems, should watch the Genshin Impact 2.5 livestream on Genshin Impact\’s Twitch or YouTube channels.
