Genshin Impact\’s Version 2.4 update is approaching and miHoYo revealed two new playable characters gamers can attempt to pull for during the future patch. Along with the 5-star Cryo character Shenhe, Yun Jin will also be available on the upcoming Banners. Shortly after her reveal, many leakers shared Yun Jin\’s attack animations and Talents online, which circulated throughout different social media platforms. Here are all the known leaks about Yun Jin.
There is currently no confirmation from miHoYo that Yun Jin will be in the same Wish as Shenhe in Genshin Impact because of the two-part release for every new update. Chances are very high, however, as many newly introduced 4-star characters have promotional rate-ups with a new 5-star unit. Genshin Impact\’s Yun Jin has been confirmed to be a Geo Vision user who wields a polearm in battle.
Genshin Impact\’s Yun Jin resides in the Heyu Tea House of Liyue and is currently the director of the Yun-Han Opera Troupe. She is known to excel within the theater industry being an excellent performer and singer. Yun Jun also has experience in playwriting, having written several successful plays at the Yun-Han Opera Troupe. Despite Yun Jin constantly appearing elegant in public, she loves listening to rock \’n\’ roll music, just like Xinyan in Genshin Impact, which is a secret she wants to keep from others.
Genshin Impact: Yun Jin\’s Ascension Materials & Talents
Many of Yun Jin\’s Ascension materials in Genshin Impact can be found in the nations of Liyue and Inazuma. Players will need around 46 Riftborn Regalias, which can be obtained after defeating the Wolflord, and 168 Glaze Lily in order to max ascend Yun Jin. She will also need different types of Hilichurl masks to ascend her level and Talents. If players intend to level her active Talents, the Guide to Diligence is required along with the Ashen Hearts.
Yun Jin\’s Normal Attack is called Cloud-Gazing Strike, which has her perform five strikes with her spear. The Charged Attack consumes stamina and has Yun Jin lunge forward, similar to many polearm users in Genshin Impact. Her Elemental Skill Whirling Opener has two phases; at charge level one, players can press her skill, allowing Yun Jin to immediately deal Geo damage to enemies. Holding the skill will cause Yun Jin to form a shield, absorbing damage based on her Max HP stats. The ability will act as a guard taking both physical and elemental damage. Once the shield duration ends or breaks, Yun Jin will unleash her attack at charge level 2, dealing Geo damage that increases in strength depending on how long the shield was up.
Yun Jin\’s Elemental Burst, called Cliffbreaker\’s Banner, deals AOE Geo damage to enemies while providing a Flying Cloud Flag Formation buff for allies. The effect increases Normal Attack damage based on Yun Jin\’s current defense stats. The buff will remain active until the duration time period ends or whenever the trigger count reaches its limit.
Genshin Impact: Yun Jin\’s Passive Talents Explained
Yun Jin\’s Passive Talent called True to Oneself is similar to Beidou\’s counter-attack in Genshin Impact. The ability will allow her to reach charge level two immediately when using the Whirling Opener skill right before being attacked by an enemy. By timing Yun Jin\’s Elemental Skill, a player can deal more damage within a shorter time frame.
No Mere Traditionalist is a skill that enhances Genshin Impact\’s Yun Jin\’s Elemental Burst effects. The Normal Attack buff granted by her Flying Cloud Flag Formation increases based on the different elemental types within a player\’s party. The more diversified the elements are the stronger her buff will be, therefore it\’s highly recommended to use four different elements in a team to best utilize Yun Jin\’s skill. Light Nourishment is her World Passive Talent, which offers a 12% chance of obtaining a double product when achieving Perfect Cooking for foods with Adventure-related effects.
Genshin Impact: Yun Jin\’s Constellations
Players attempting to pull for Shenhe and Yun Jin in Genshin Impact will have the opportunity to increase the character\’s Constellations levels. At Constellation level 1, Thespian Gallop will decrease her Elemental Skill cooldown by 18%, allowing Yun Jin to counter-attack more frequently. Myriad Mise-En Scene is her Constellation level 2 and will increase all party member\’s Normal Attacks by 15 seconds when she uses her Cliffbreaker\’s Banner skill. The combined effects of Yun Jin\’s Elemental Burst and the Myriad Mise-En Scene will provide a very high damage boost for characters that rely on Normal Attacks.
Yun Jin\’s Constellation level 3, Seafaring General, does not provide any unique effects but instead increases her Cliffbreaker\’s Banner skill level by 3, therefore enhancing its damage and effects. Constellations in Genshin Impact are a way for characters to grow stronger, and obtaining levels four through six may benefit gamers greatly. Flower and a Fighter is Yun Jin\’s fourth level, which increases her defense stats by 20% for 12 seconds whenever she triggers a Crystallize Reaction. By increasing her defense, she can increase the Normal Attack buff provided from her Elemental Burst because the buff scales to her defense. At Constellation level 5, Famed Throughout the Land will further increase Yun Jin\’s Elemental Skill level by 3.
Yun Jin\’s final Constellation level is called Decorous Harmony. Characters enhanced by the Flying Cloud Flag Formation will have a 12% increased attack speed for Normal Attacks. This specific buff will help claymore allies like Eula, Razor, and Arataki Itto in Genshin Impact. Claymore characters are typically slower than other weapon users, but the increased speed provided from Yun Jin\’s Decorous Harmony will allow allies to attack with greater speed.
Yun Jin is a very unique character in Genshin Impact. Her role as a counter-attacker like Beidou and a damage buffer similar to Bennett or Kujou Sara puts her into a strong supportive position. Her Ascension stats increases her Elemental Recharge, which synergizes well with her Elemental Burst. If players are seeking a supporting character that enhances the team\’s Normal Attack, then Yun Jin may be a unit to consider pulling for. There is currently no confirmed date of release for Yun Jin, however, she will be available during Genshin Impact\’s Version 2.4 update.
