Ningguang is first encountered during the Liyue portion of the main story, and she becomes a fairly important character from there. However, the only way to recruit her into a party is by pulling her through Genshin Impact\’s Wish system. Ningguang is a 4-star character, which means she\’s not the rarest character in Genshin Impact, but she\’s pretty uncommon.
The best Artifacts for Ningguang in Genshin Impact are from the Martial Artist set. Two of these Artifacts will increase Ningguang\’s Normal and Charged Attacks by 15%. If four are equipped, then Normal and Charged Attack DMG are boosted by 25% after Ningguang uses her Elemental Skill. The Archaic Petra set is also good, since equipping two of pieces raises her Geo DMG by 15%. If these Artifacts are unavailable, then any Artifacts that raise her ATK stats – like the Gladiator\’s Finale set – will work just fine, too.
The best catalysts for Ningguang should focus on her damage output as well. While Genshin Impact characters like Barbara have catalysts meant for support or even healing roles, Ningguang\’s weapon should work to increase her ATK and DMG. The Skyward Atlas is ideal for this, since it provides an Elemental DMG bonus of up to 24%, and can boost Normal Attacks by up to 320% to hit nearby enemies. Eye of Perception is slightly more common, and this weapon has a 50% chance of sending a Bolt of Perception around multiple enemies and causes up to 360% of ATK as DMG.
Because Ningguang uses catalysts and fills a DPS role, she\’s different from most other playable Genshin Impact characters who use those weapons. As a Geo user, Ningguang\’s attacks can cause AoE damage to multiple enemies, as well as damage-over-time. With the right character build, Ningguang can become one of the most powerful characters in Genshin Impact.
