Why does Genshin Impact have a very multicultural world setting? This seems to be a deliberate design decision given that other games in similar genres are usually set in worlds that have monolithic culture.

Genshin Impact has a multicultural world, most likely because the devs wanted it to feel like an actual world. In real life, if you travel far enough from your house, odds are you will meet people with different values and beliefs from you, the gap growing the further you go. We ourselves live in a multicultural world, so Genshin is based on one as well.
