Original question: “Can I have any good tips for playing Genshin Impact? I started playing the game recently and wanted to know what to do and what not to do to be a good player and get primogems to wish for characters.”
Don’t spend your Primogems on the standard banner. That’s a common mistake most players make—including myself. I hoped to get Keqing in the standard banner, so I spent around 5,000 of my Primogems there. I ended up getting an Aquila Favonia (which I don’t use until now) instead because my stupid ass didn’t know that there is a chance that I can get a five-star weapon there. You’re better off trying your luck in the character banner.
Don’t raise characters whom you really don’t want to build yet. It’s a waste of Mora and character ascension and talent level-up materials, and they’re a hassle to farm.
Lastly, invest in a claymore-wielding character. You could use Noelle, but I would recommend getting Beidou or, better yet, Diluc. The reason why I recommend claymores is that they are more versatile. If you come across a Mitachurl with a Geo shield or a giant Cryo Slime, you would have an easier time defeating them. You can also use it to mine for ores. It may take some time for you to get used to since the attack speed (ATK SPD) of claymores is painfully slow compared to more nimble swords and polearms.
