Genshin Impact’s 2.3 update is right around the corner and coming with it are new playable characters Arataki Itto and Gorou. Though it has yet to be revealed whether these two Geo characters will be in the first or second limited banner, players will be able to begin farming for Itto as soon as Genshin Impact\’s 2.3 update releases. Because all of Inazuma’s islands are available to explore, players can actually begin gathering materials now for both Itto and Gorou.
Arataki Itto and Gorou are currently in beta testing, so much of their kits, play styles, and materials have been leaked. While some in the Genshin Impact community frown upon such leaks, having this knowledge ahead of time allows for more preparation – of both materials and Primogems. Fortunately, with only two new characters coming to the game for 2.3, there is plenty of time for players to get ready.
Arataki Itto will be getting his own World Boss in Genshin Impact 2.3 called the Golden Wolflord. The Golden Wolflord is essentially a much larger Rifthound who spawns into the boss arena on Tsurumi Island through a portal. Like its smaller cousins, the Wolflord applies the corrosion effect to the entire team when it successfully lands a hit regardless of a shield, so players will want to bring a healer along to this fight. The Golden Wolflord’s boss drops will allegedly be called Riftborn Regalia, according to Honey Hunter World.
Genshin Impact 2.3: Arataki Itto Ascension & Talent Materials
Genshin Impact\’s Arataki Itto is a five star Geo claymore user, so for his Ascension he will need the Prithiva Topaz materials. Specifically, Itto will need:
1 Prithiva Topaz Sliver9 Prithiva Topaz Fragments9 Prithiva Topaz Chunks6 Prithiva Topaz Gemstones
Players will probably be able to get these from the Golden Wolflord, but they can start farming them now from the Geo Hypostasis, the Primovishap, and various Weekly Bosses. Itto will also need 46 of the Riftborn Regalia and 168 Onikabuto (the light purple beetles found around Inazuma). Lastly, players will need to gather 18 Slime Condensates, 30 Slime Secretions, and 36 Slime Concentrates, as well as 420,000 Mora. For Arataki Itto’s Talents, he will need:

Itto’s Weekly Boss is La Signora, and his boss material is the Ashen Heart, which he will need 18 of. Lastly, in order to fully raise all of Itto’s Talents, players will need 3 Crowns of Insight and 4,957,000 Mora.
Genshin Impact 2.3: Gorou Ascension & Talent Materials
Genshin Impact\’s Gorou is also a Geo character, which means he will need the same Prithiva Topaz materials as Itto, so if players are looking to build both they may want to start farming these Geo items now. For Gorou’s boss material, he will need 46 Perpetual Hearts from the Perpetual Array Machine found in Araumi, in an underwater arena that can be reached either from the portal on Jinren Island or through the Araumi ruins.
As Gorou is from Watatsumi Island, he will need 168 Sango Pearls that can be found scattered around the Island. They are predominantly located on the lower level of the island near waterfalls. Lastly, Gorou requires:
18 Spectral Husks30 Spectral Hearts36 Spectral Nuclei
These Genshin Impact items are dropped by Specters found on Watatsumi and Seirai Island. Gorou also requires 420,000 Mora. For his Talents, Gorou will need:
9 Teachings of Light63 Guides to Light114 Philosophies of Light
These can be found at the same domain as the Books of Elegance, but on Wednesdays, Saturdays, and Sundays. Genshin Impact players will also need to gather another 18 Spectral Husks, 66 Spectral Hearts, and 93 Spectral Nuclei. Gorou’s Weekly Boss is also La Signora, but he needs 18 0f the Molten Hearts. Lastly, Gorou needs another 3 Crowns of Insight and an additional 4,957,000 Mora.
