Genshin Impact’s The Chasm requires the completion of the World Quest series, “The Chasm Delvers” in order to reveal the entire map of the Underground Mines. In order to access The Chasm: Underground Mines, players must first complete Genshin Impact’s “Surreptitious Seven-Star Seal Sundering” World Quest. This is what breaks the seal that guards the entryway.
“First Miasmic Contact” in Genshin Impact is the first part of the “Chasm Spelunkers” World Quest. This will lead players into a tunnel infested with Dark Mud. It is recommended that players upgrade their Lumenstone Adjuvant gadget as much as they are able since there will be Oozing Concretions nearby that can be dispelled.
The newly teased character, Genshin Impact’s Hydro Bow-user Yelan makes a quick appearance in this quest as a suspicious figure, though she has no dialogue. As players’ maps will likely still be hidden, it is best to unlock all visible Teleport Waypoints before proceeding. After doing so, completing the \”First Miasmic Contact\” quest in Genshin Impact will be relatively straightforward.
Genshin Impact: First Miasmic Contact Anomaly #1 and #2 Locations
The first anomaly in Genshin Impact\’s \”First Miasmic Contact\” quest can be found hidden within a tunnel. Players should begin at the Teleport Waypoint between the Ad-Hoc Main Tunnel and The Chasm: Main Mining Area. From there, players will need to head up and around the staircases. They should follow the path until the stairs and ladders lead to a wide wooden bridge guarded by a Treasure Hoarder. This is the same route that can be taken to find the Teleport Waypoint near the Runi Serpent boss in Genshin Impact.
Once there, players will need to examine the Dark Mud and take a photo. A Pyro Abyss Mage and a Hydro Abyss Mage will appear. It is recommended that players use a Cryo character as well as a Hydro character in order to break the shields quickly and efficiently. After defeating the enemies, players will need to find the second anomaly.
The second anomaly can be found as players continue down the Dark Mud-filled tunnel. After finding the second anomaly, a cutscene will play. A mysterious figure – the newly announced playable character, 5-Star Hydro Bow-user, Yelan – is seen retreating nearby, though she goes unnoticed by the NPC Zhiqiong. After completing “First Miasmic Contact” in Genshin Impact, players will be rewarded 200 Adventure EXP, 30 Primogems, 2 Hero’s Wit, and 20,000 Mora. Players will also be able to begin the next segment of this Genshin Impact World Quest series, “Meeting New People… and Foiling Some Bandits.”
