Genshin Impact: How Raiden Shogun Compares To Other Electro Users

The Raiden Shogun, also known as Baal, is one of the newest playable characters in Genshin Impact. Arriving as part of the Version 2.1 content, Baal starred on her own Banner for the first half of the update. Fans only have about a day left to pull for her before Kokomi\’s Banner arrives. And when deciding whether to pull for Baal or saving up for Kokomi, many people may be curious to see how Raiden Shogun compares to other Electro users.

Baal is the Electro Archon of the Inazuma region, and she\’s primarily served as an antagonist in the story so far. In terms of being playable, she\’s a 5-star character who wields polearms in combat. As a playable character, the Raiden Shogun\’s power is pretty impressive and befitting an Archon. Her Plunging Attack, Elemental Skill, and Elemental Burst are all about causing AoE damage to nearby enemies. However, she is bogged down somewhat by being an Electro user in Genshin Impact.

The Electro element has been somewhat underwhelming lately, and there have been few new characters introduced who have this Vision – especially when compared to Anemo and Pyro users. Rumors of an Electro buff in Genshin Impact have been circulating online, and developer miHoYo has already altered it in the past. Because of this, some players may elect to use other characters besides Raiden Shogun (and the rest of the Electro users) for now. However, in terms of exclusively Electro users, Baal is arguably the most powerful character in the game.

Is Raiden Shogun (Baal) Better Or Worse Than Other Electro Characters In Genshin Impact?

The Raiden Shogun\’s attacks in Genshin Impact can cause massive damage, and since most of them target multiple enemies, it can be a great way to take down numerous foes at once. Her Elemental Recharge abilities also make her great for triggering Elemental Reactions with other characters in a player\’s party, and she\’s able to withstand hits pretty well, too. Compared to the Archon characters like Zhongli and Venti, she\’s comparable in power, although both of those characters may have a slight edge on her in combat.

Compared to good Electro characters like Fischl and Beidou, however, Baal edges them out in a Sub DPS role. While longtime players may prefer sticking with Fischl or Beidou, since they\’ve likely developed those characters a lot since the game\’s launch, the Raiden Shogun makes a worthy candidate to teams that are lacking a good Electro user. Ultimately, it\’s up to the player to decide what kind of team they want in Genshin Impact, but the Raiden Shogun (Baal) is easily the most powerful Electro user in the game right now.
