The Genshin Impact community has been asking for game databases, detailed map guides, and other stats about the game from the very launch. With the game having so much information about various items, a HoyoWiki database equivalent was a necessary feature for the future of Genshin Impact.
In the past few months, Hoyoverse has been tackling these requested features quite earnestly from the launch of the Official Genshin Impact Interactive Map to Enhancement Progression Calculator to Travellers’ Diary which helps in keeping track of important resources like Primogems and Mora, and now this HoYoWiki.
HoYoWiki launches with all the necessary information on the in-game elements in Genshin Impact
As of now, the Wiki has somewhat limited information on mostly these five sections Character Archive, Weapon Archive, Artifact Archive, Enemies and Monsters, and Materials.
The Character Archive section has nearly all the required information about every character in the game, even the damage multipliers of various talents are given along with required material for ascension. The other archives have basic information which can also be found in the in-game archive system. The website also has filter tags for various terms which makes navigation a lot easier, especially on mobile devices.
HoYoWiki will be competing with already existing fandomWikis
The newly released HoYoWiki for Genshin Impact will feature as a database system for the entirety of in-game data and from the first look, it seems the database is still in early progress and far from completion. This wiki will serve most beneficial to new players as correct information about various queries is somewhat difficult to find when the game is this massive.
The official notes indicate that this database will be community-driven and enthusiastic travelers can contribute to it in the near future. However, Genshin Impact does have an already existing fandom wiki that has nearly all the important information about the game and which is being maintained by dedicated players for a very long time, so this new HoyoWiki won’t be replacing that any time soon.
