Following the character\’s official reveal from miHoYo last month, a new Genshin Impact leak has teased what Shenhe’s domain will look like. Although one rumor claimed that Shenhe would be a catalyst user, the developer’s announcement showed that both Genshin Impact\’s Shenhe and Yun Jin are polearm users. Shenhe will be a 5-star Cryo character while the 4-star Yun Jin will wield the Geo element.
The upcoming new Genshin characters are expected to release early next year as part of the game’s 2.4 update, which is set to introduce a host of new content, characters, and features to the free-to-play game. Along with Shenhe, rumors have suggested that the 2.4 update will bring the return of the Lantern Rite Festival, with even more details on the new content still to be revealed. While miHoYo has yet to officially announce that the playable Shenhe and Yun Jin characters will be coming out in the game’s next patch, their official reveal, along with previous Genshin Impact 2.4 update leaks, lends credence to what fans are currently expecting.
Reddit user TyByRye shared an image on the Genshin Impact Leaks subreddit that they claim is a screenshot taken from inside Shenhe’s domain (via GameRant). The image, which was originally leaked by Genshin Impact dataminer and leaker blank via the WFP group, shows popular character Klee inside an unknown dungeon that features a couple of huge trees, with one on a floating rock platform right in the center. Some commenters have pointed out that the light shining above one of the trees makes it look like the dungeon is underwater, which would align with previous leaks that the upcoming new Genshin Impact Enkanomiya region will be underwater. However, since Shenhe hails from Liyue and not Inazuma, that connection may not pan out.

If the latest Genshin Impact leak proves to be accurate, players will be able to access Shenhe’s domain during the new character’s story quest. It’s also possible that Shenhe’s story quest may actually be part of Genshin Impact’s Archon quests according to previously datamined information. An old leak also claimed that Shenhe is the Cloud Retainer, but it’s been revealed by miHoYo that she is simply a disciple of the crane adepti. Sadly, like the rest of the game’s character and Archon quests, players will only be able to visit Shenhe’s domain once as the quests and their respective dungeons aren’t repeatable.
With leaks teasing the Enkanomiya zone is also expected to release during the upcoming 2.4 update, it’s likely that new Genshin Impact 2.4 characters Shenhe and Yun Jin will be released during the 2nd half of the patch along with the aforementioned Lantern Rite Festival. Genshin Impact players may have to wait just a bit longer to both attempt to pull for Shenhe and Yun Jin, as well as find out if the leaked image actually is from Shenhe’s domain.
