Genshin Impact: Outside The Canvas, Inside The Lens Event Guide

Genshin Impact’s “Outside The Canvas, Inside The Lens” is a limited-time event where players will be able to help the illustrator Asagiri in Inazuma City. This event is available until April 11, 2022, at 3:59 Server Time. As the first of many 2.6 events in Genshin Impact, players will be able to earn various rewards such as Primogems, Character EXP Materials, and Mora.

To participate in this event, players must be Adventure Rank 30 or above. They must also complete “Ritou Escape Plan” from the Archon Quest, “Chapter II: Act I, The Immovable God and the Eternal Euthymia.” This is the quest in which players are first introduced to the Inazuma region. Players will also need to complete the World Quest “Snapshots” which awards the Kamera gadget.

The NPC Asagiri can be found in Inazuma City, to the left of the teleport and above Komore Teahouse. Asagiri is an illustrator who lacks inspiration, and it is up to the Traveler to move around Teyvat and supply her with intriguing photos. By using the Kamera gadget, players will need to properly fulfill Asagiri’s specific requests. In return, players will receive rewards as well as a tour of Genshin Impact’s ever-changing map.

Outside The Canvas, Inside The Lens Rewards In Genshin Impact

The “Outside The Canvas, Inside The Lens” event in Genshin Impact requires players to utilize the Kamera gadget. Each day, two new Photo-Taking Locations will be unlocked for players to complete. Players will need to open the event menu and navigate to “Check Photo Notes.” This will bring players to the page of each Photo-Taking Location and the “Photography Targets” that must be met. By clicking “Check Photo-Taking Location,” players can navigate to the location marked by the Kamera Icon.

At each Photo-Taking Location, players will be prompted with the action “Prepare to Photograph.” When in this stage, the Photography Targets will be revealed on the left side underneath the mini-map, similar to how Genshin Impact Commissions and other quests appear. Players will need to fulfill each requirement, whether the photo is taken during a certain time frame, contains a certain skill, or has a specific character. When all requirements are checked off in green, players are ready to take the photo with the Kamera gadget.

Players will know they are successful when “Photo-Taking Complete” appears on the screen. The rewards can be claimed and accessed through the event menu. There are 14 total Photo-Taking Locations for players to complete. Genshin Impact players will be able to take part in the “Outside The Canvas, Inside The Lens” event until April 11.
