Genshin Impact: Pros & Cons Of Pulling For Yae Miko

Yae Miko was recently released during the Genshin Impact\’s Version 2.5 update and players may wonder if she\’s worth pulling for. Gamers initially thought Yae Miko would be the main DPS character within the party due to her Crit Rate Ascension stats, but after her release, she received mixed reviews on her performance. Despite not meeting every expectation, Yae Miko offers some advantages and disadvantages for players attempting to pull her.

Yae Miko is an Electro character in Genshin Impact who uses a Catalyst in battle. She\’s best utilized as a sub-DPS character using her Elemental Skill and Elemental Burst for damage. Yae Miko\’s Yakan Evocation: Sesshou Sakura Talent summons up to three Sesshou Sakuras, which will periodically deal Electro damage to one target. The damage from the skill will also increase based on the number of Sakuras placed.

Yae Miko\’s Elemental Burst, called the Great Secret Art: Tenko Kenshin, summons a mythological fox known as a Kitsune to deal AOE Electro damage to enemies within the area. The Talent will also destroy all Sesshou Sakuras placed on the field and will continue to strike enemies with lightning strikes based on the number of Sakuras destroyed. If players wish to further strengthen Yae Miko, increasing her Constellation in Genshin Impact will improve her damage greatly. Despite the benefits of having Yae Miko at higher Constellations levels, it\’s certainly not a requirement, and players can still enjoy using her in battle at Constellation Zero.

Genshin Impact: Yae Miko\’s Strengths & Weaknesses

Yake Miko\’s greatest advantage in battle is the ability to inflict continuous damage to enemies while off-field. Possessing an auto-turret form of attack will allow the party\’s main DPS character to attack freely without the concern of switching between allies too often. In terms of damage output, not only are Yae Miko\’s attacks consistent but they are also quite strong, dealing high numbers to targets comparable to other sub-DPS characters like Fischl or Albedo. Her ability to easily infuse continuous Electro status on enemies will help players trigger Elemental Reactions in Genshin Impact.

Yae Miko is a strong sub-DPS character, but there are several flaws players should be aware of before attempting to pull on her Banner. Her Elemental Burst energy requirement is the highest in the game, costing 90 energy to use. In order to effectively use the Talent in battle, players must use a second Electro character to generate energy particles or focus on Energy Recharge stats for Yae Miko, which will lower potential damage. Another issue with Yae Miko is that her Sesshou Sakuras takes time to set up and upon using her Burst the Sakuras will be destroyed, forcing players to spend more time replacing the Sesshou Sakuras.

Depending on how players build Yae Miko in Genshin Impact will determine how effective she is in combat. She\’s a strong damage dealer but if players cannot support her weaknesses, then she may become a liability. Despite not being as powerful as gamers had predicted, Yae Miko, under the right team, can become an asset – and perhaps HoYoverse will release Artifacts in the future that will further excel her abilities.
