Genshin Impact Version 2.7 update, Hidden Dreams in the Depths, will be available on May 31, 2022, according to HoYoverse, a global interactive entertainment company. Players can continue exploring The Chasm and join an unexpected team of members to learn about the people, creatures, and yakshas. Yelan and Kuki Shinobu, two new playable characters, will also appear in the story as capable friends for the Traveler.
The update was supposed to be released earlier, however, due to unforeseeable circumstances, Hoyoverse had to postpone the new update.
Genshin Impact Version 2.7 will feature a new story quest with new challenges
With a new Archon Quest plot and a series of rewarding tasks, the Perilous Trail event in Version 2.7 will draw players back to The Chasm. Players may find themselves lost in the depths with Yanfei, Yelan, Kuki Shinobu, and Arataki Itto, all of whom are attempting to survive.
Meanwhile, danger looms for Xiao, the Vigilant Yaksha, who is conducting his own inquiry. The buried past, including how the inhabitants of Liyue fought demons 500 years ago and the role of the yakshas in history, will finally be revealed to this varied party as the game develops.
Playing through the story unlocks the new combat challenge Realms of Guile and War as well as a plethora of goodies, including an event-exclusive four-star bow called Fading Twilight, which can be purchased in the event shop. To survive several rounds of combat in four distinct challenge domains, players must carefully examine their party setup strategy using varied Stratagem benefits and varying domain regulations.
At the same time, Hosseini the Sumeru scholar just discovered some dark mud-like stuff pouring out of The Chasm’s caverns and mines. Players can help clean the mud, weaken the creatures, and fulfill other tasks such as battling monsters under time constraints or escorting a hot air balloon with the Lumenstone Adjuvant and special installations known as the Pursina’s Spikes during the A Muddy Bizarre Adventure event.
Two new playable characters will now accompany travelers in the Chasm
Yelan and Kuki Shinobu, the Traveler’s companions in The Chasm, will be playable characters in Genshin Impact, with their own Story Quest and Hangout Event. Yelan, the new five-star character, is a mysterious figure with several faces and identities, including the Yanshang Teahouse proprietor and Liyue’s special intelligence officer. Yelan is a Hydro DPS character who uses the bow as her weapon and combines fast strikes with a swift movement.
Kuki Shinobu, the new four-star character, is the Arataki Gang’s surprisingly trustworthy and capable deputy commander. Shinobu is a figure who carries a sword and can control the Electro element. She can use her own HP to heal other members of her party while also delivering Electro DMG to adjacent enemies. Arataki Itto and his right-hand person Kuki Shinobu will be available in the Event Wishes, followed by Yelan and Xiao.
After the Irodori Festival, the party continues in Inazuma. To commemorate Shinobu’s graduation from law school in Liyue, the Arataki Gang is planning a huge and cheerful drumalong festival as well as a new season of rhythm games. In the Core of the Apparatus event, players can assist a toy merchant from Fontaine in creating robotic models in exchange for robotic furnishings to install in the Serenitea Pot.
