Genshin Impact's Baal Has a Unique Polearm Attack Animation

New Genshin Impact character Baal, also known as the Raiden Shogun, has impressed players thanks to her unique attack animation. The new addition to the game was added as part of the recent Genshin Impact 2.1 update. The update went live on September 1, and introduces new characters, locations, and even welcomes fishing to Genshin Impact.

In the game\’s new Inazuma region, the Raiden Shogun isn\’t just an Archon, but also a leader of the people. A skilled martial artist and perfectionist, the Raiden Shogun aims to rain down punishment on those who stand in the way of her goal of achieving divine eternity. As well as being referred to as both Baal and the Raiden Shogun, the character is also known as the God of Eternity and the Electro Archon. She is one of three playable characters announced during a Genshin Impact Special Program last month.

Reddit user Vlaaaaaaaa shared a short clip of Baal to the Genshin Impact subreddit, showing off the new character\’s unique attack animation not previously seen in the game before. The short video shows Baal, a polearm user, completing a series of impressive and formidable backflip plunge attacks, designed to destroy those in her path. Baal launches into the air, performs a full backflip, and plummets down to attack, making for one of the most exciting attack animations Genshin Impact has seen to date.

As one of the newest additions to Genshin Impact, there are still many players who\’ve yet to try Baal\’s attack powers for themselves. The Raiden Shogun is a five-star character who can use her Elemental Burst for high-damage attacks in a short timeframe. The character is well-suited as a strong substitute dealer of damage, and good for supporting allies. Players will need to make sure they\’re equipping the right Artifacts and weapons to make the most out of Baal and her skillsets.

Baal is just one of many new additions the latest Genshin Impact update has introduced. The Inazuma region, first added in update 2.0, has now expanded to include two new islands, Watatsumi Island and Seirai Island. Both islands have the new Phase Gate mechanic, which allows players to travel across islands more easily. The version 2.1 update has made Genshin Impact bigger and more diverse than ever, and players can expect even more updates and improvements to come to the game in the future.
