BEST CASE: Assuming it always writes the file in a different position in memory.

FlashDrive Life Cycles=100000 Write Cycles Before it dies.

Take a Common 64Gb Flash Drive, 64Gb x 100000 Cycles is 64000000 GB of data before it dies, assuming every new file is written in a different location on the drive.

Bit Rate=705.6 kbps

Which means 7.6GB of data written a day.

This means 7.6GB x 365 = 2774GB written a year, assuming 24/7 usage.

 64000000 GB / 2774GB  = 2307 years, we’re fine.

WORST CASE: Assuming it always writes the file in the same spot.

FlashDrive Life Cycles=100000 Write Cycles Before it dies.

Each 30 mins file will be re-written in the same spot.

(The app will write on three different files for 30 mins each)

Each file gets re-written every 90 mins. (file A, then file B, then file C, then file A again…)

This means that every 90 mins there is a new write cycle on a specific bit of storage.

90 Mins * 100,000 Write Cycles = 90,000,000 Mins of app usage before the storage dies.

90,000,000/(60*24*365) = 171 years of BlackBox usage before the storage dies.
