Genshin Impact’s usual 6-week update schedule has been postponed. While waiting for Genshin Impact’s Version 2.7 delay to conclude, there are plenty of things that players can do each week in order to prepare for the next update. These are tasks that can be completed in short periods over the course of the week.
There is a myriad of activities to enjoy in Genshin Impact. However, if players find themselves at a loss for what to do, this is the perfect opportunity to revisit the builds of current characters or prepare for the arrival of new ones. An important resource to take advantage of is Original Resin. Players are given a limit of 160, and it slowly recharges over time which means it is important to deplete the supply as soon as it caps.

Apart from spending Resin, there are other tasks available for players to complete every week. This involves collecting, forging, and utilizing other game mechanics. Completing these weekly tasks will ensure that players are properly prepared for the release of Genshin Impact’s new region, Sumeru.
Genshin Impact: Farm Weapon Ascension Material & Talent Books on Sunday
When it comes to spending Resin, players have plenty of options to choose from. As building characters is an important part of the game, players should be sure to properly raise a character’s Talents as much as they are able to. These include Normal Attacks, Elemental Skill, and Elemental Burst. These materials can be found in Domains of Mastery spread across the map of Teyvat.
Another way to improve characters is to level up their weapons. Weapon Ascension Materials are used to ascend various weapons. Similar to Character Ascension in Genshin Impact, weapons can be upgraded to a max level of 90. In order to obtain these materials, players will need to challenge Domains of Forgery. These can be found in various locations on the map with different Adventure Rank requirements to unlock each. Some may be locked by an Archon or World Quest.

Domains of Forgery and Domains of Mastery will have different materials available depending on the day of the week. However, all materials are made available on Sundays regardless of their type. Because of this, it is beneficial for those with limited time to designate Sundays as Weapon Ascension and Talent farming day. Players will need at least 20 Original Resin to claim rewards, or they can exchange a Condensed Resin for twice the rewards.
Complete Weekly Trounce Domains for Boss Materials in Genshin Impact
Bosses in Genshin Impact include open-world bosses such as the Regisvines and Hypostases as well as Trounce Domains that house bosses such as La Signora and Azhdaha. Open-world bosses require 40 Original Resin to claim rewards while Trounce Domains require 60. However, players are given three opportunities to halve the Resin cost for Trounce Domains each week.
In addition to receiving Boss drops needed for raising Talents past level 6, players will receive Adventure EXP, Mora, Companionship EXP, and a variety of Artifacts depending on a player’s Adventure Rank. There is also the chance to receive a Dream Solvent – which can be used to convert Boss drops from the same enemy – as well as a weapon Billet used to create a weapon via the blacksmith. Completing at least three Trounce Domains per week ensures that players will have a steady supply of Boss materials needed for Talents.
Genshin Impact Players Can Complete Weekly Battle Pass Requirements
The Battle Pass in Genshin Impact is a reoccurring event that is unlocked at Adventure Rank 20. In exchange for completing certain quests and missions, players can earn Battle Pass EXP used to gain levels within the Battle Pass. Players can claim various rewards with each level they achieve. Players also have the option to purchase the Gnostic Hymn in order to unlock both reward tiers for the current Battle Pass Period.

Battle Pass has a Weekly tab, which includes tasks like: cook 20 dishes, forge 20 items, and complete three Trounce Domains. With the former two, these are things that can be started at the beginning of a session and claimed once the session is over. For example, players can cook 20 dishes needed to heal their characters while completing their Daily Commissions. Additionally, players can forge 20 Enhancement Ores used to level up weapons in Genshin Impact. This way, players can be rewarded for completing tasks that benefit them regardless.
Genshin Impact: Requests & Bounties for Mondstadt, Liyue, and Inazuma Reputation
Reputation is a progression system in Genshin Impact. Players can raise Reputation Levels in Mondstadt, Liyue, and Inazuma by completing certain Archon quests for the region, exploring to a certain percentage, and by completing weekly Bounties and Requests. Players are able to attempt three Bounties and three Requests per week in exchange for Reputation EXP.
With each level of a region’s Reputation, players will be able to obtain various rewards. Most notably, players will be able to obtain the Diagram: NRE (Menu 30) which allows players to set a food item on a hotkey for ease of healing. Additionally, players will be able to receive the Diagram for the Treasure Compass for Mondstadt and Liyue at Reputation Level 6 and the Treasure Compass for Inazuma at Level 9, which will aid in exploration. Completing weekly Requests and Bounties will ensure players useful gadgets as well as a vibrant new Wind Glider unique to each region at Reputation Level 10.
Genshin Impact: Buy Limited-Time Materials from Tubby in the Serenitea Pot
The Serenitea Pot in Genshin Impact allows players to customize a personal abode to their liking. However, it also contains a variety of useful materials available for purchase via the Teapot Spirit, Tubby. Players can exchange Realm Currency for EXP Books and Enhancement Ores needed for Character and Weapon Ascension.
Additionally, players can purchase Transient Resin. This works similarly to Fragile Resin, which will grant players an additional 60 Resin upon use. However, it will expire after a certain number of days, so players should use it within the timeframe. By utilizing Resin and completing these weekly tasks, players will be better equipped for future updates in Genshin Impact.
