The last game I logged play time on was GenshinImpact.
To get out… I probably just follow the plotline, tbh. The story is still unfinished, having updates every month and new main plot missions added roughly every 2 months, so I can’t say how it actually ends. That said, the primary goals of the main character are tracking down their missing sibling and finding a way to get out of this world and go home, as they are stranded in another universe themselves.
That said, I’d be pretty comfortable until then. The world of Teyvat (where the game takes place) is not friendly to civilians with no combat experience, leaving a town is practically a suicide mission for most since the roads and wildlands are teeming with monsters and criminals. That said, a unique quirk to the in-universe magic system would actually give a huge advantage to me as someone from another world. Some people are in possession of special charms called “Visions” that are supposedly a gift from the elemental gods as a reward for showing some sort of particularly strong resolve, while Vision holders gain unique powers based on their respective element as long as they keep it on their person. Bizarrely, a person from another world can actually gain the powers of a Vision holder by simply coming in contact with one of the various ceremonial statues of the gods spread across the continent. Unlike a Vision, a person who gains powers this way can wield more than one element (though for game balance, you are still limited to one and can switch elements by going to another statue, plot-wise you have all of the ones you’ve collected so far) and don’t need to keep a Vision on hand to use their abilities. People from other worlds are also immune to negative effects from certain curses, as shown early in the game when the protaganist can hold and purify a miasma from an item that physically hurts anyone else touching it. I can sign up for the Adventurer’s Guild (an international organization of professional adventurers) and easily work my way up the ranks with my broken power set, getting high level commissions and being paid quite well for what would be little effort for me. If I actually try to go home, I should be able to manage eventually, but otherwise I have potential to be living a pretty lucrative life where I can retire quite early.
